A bar room disguised as a restaurant.

Pererenan was missing one specific thing — a room you walk into at 6pm that holds you until 1am. Optimist is that room. Italian marble communal table. Stainless steel under candlelight. A mirrored ceiling that doubles every glass. Plaster walls tattooed with embossed symbols you only catch on the second look.

The kitchen leans Asian — Japanese fundamentals, Indonesian heat, the occasional Italian wink. The bar leans cold, citrus-led, technical. Both finish each other's sentences.

Come for the kingfish. Stay for the third cocktail. Leave optimistic.

Citrus-forward, technical, never cloying. The bar program is the second kitchen — same care, same speed, same opinion about what good tastes like.

The Optimist Sour

Mezcal, calamansi, palm sugar, egg white, orange bitters. Served chilled with a single dot of chili oil floating dead center.

Kitchen open until midnight. Bar open until 1am. Vinyl on, mirrored ceiling doing its job, the room loud in the right way.

Curated vinyl + a stripped-back menu. Slower drinks, deeper records, the optimistic comedown.

If the bar has stools, the bar has room. The kitchen runs full menu at the bar. No reservation needed for a seat.

N° 05 · The Room

Italian marble. Stone floors. Mirrored ceiling.

Built around a single communal table topped in cool Italian marble + stainless steel. The walls are textured plaster, subtly tattooed with embossed symbols you have to lean in to read.

The mirrored ceiling pulls the room upward + doubles every glass on the table. By 9pm the pink neon catches it, and the whole room glows.

It is the kind of room that makes you stay one drink longer than you meant to.
